Good morning all from Ohio!
My name is Dustin and I have been upland hunting for around 5 years. I hunt mainly pheasants here in Ohio on state land around Central Ohio and at a friend’s private pheasant club in Western Ohio. I also take a yearly trip up to the UP for a week long Grouse camp, chasing the King Of The Uplands and Timberdoodle.
I have a 1 year old Llewellin Setter named Winston from Cash Setters in Iowa. There are some photos below. He comes from great pheasant hunting parents and his pointing and retrieving abilities have been impressive.
I am hoping to find a small, local private club in East Central Ohio to join, as the current one I go to is 2 hours away. I’m hoping one of you fine ladies and gentleman will have some info on that, as inline searches have proved fruitless, only showing the pricey clubs where you have to reserve a field, have guide, etc. I’m looking for a private club with open access to members, a relaxed atmosphere of upstanding members, and preferably with an on-site or nearby bird farm.
