Hi everyone, I've been checking the board out for about a week and lots of good info on here. I don't have much to share but love to see the pics and read the threads.. Thanks in advance for the warm welcomes!!
Oh, I have a 2 yr. old GSP and am trying my best to get him going on quail. Seems like we are a little short around here but doing my best...
 
welcome from a fellow okie , know what you mean about quail, have to drive about 3hrs to quail and pheasant hunt but i love it! good luck getting your gsp going, these guys on this site can help out alot.

Welcome to UPH, I hope you can get that pup on some Quail soon. Birds make the dog great, so the more the better........Bob
 
Thanks guys, I actually got him on some wild birds this evening and he did very well. This is his third experience on quail and he is pointing good. He is still a little gunshy so I have been shooting a .22 around him and he is much better. I know it is late to be starting him on birds but I have only had him for 1 year and have been working on other things.. I "hope" he will turn out to be a good dog. I also have an older Brittany that I hunt with.. Thanks again, for the welcomes..
 
welcome, pheasants are my # 2 bird with quail #1 . do forget to check out the quail forum to, i will be heading out ant time so if you see my tag say hello. my only dog is a rotty but he can hunt birds to...
