I released some hen pheasants over the weekend since they are mature and we can't hunt hens down here. I ran the dogs a little today and they were able to find some of the hens and a few quail that have been out for about a week and a half. Here are a few pictures:

The dogs tracked a running bird about a 100 yards before we got them pinned. Ended up flushing two hens

Even though the temps dropped a good bit the dogs still got pretty hot quickly.
 
Wow! A couple of those pictures look suitable for framing. Your dogs look great, be proud. The cover looks to have really taken hold.
 
Thanks FLDBRED. I wasn't sure how the pictures looked when I took them. I used my phone and it was hard to see with the glare. The cover should be pretty good for the birds. It will be hard for the hunters to get them up without a dog. But I don't mind:)
 
The area looks good..it must be cool seeing all the progress in the area and knowing you have created some great habitat in the area!
