Friends, in an hour or so I hit the trail for the Happy Hunting Grounds in NW. Tonight we set up for the Smoky Valley Pheasants Forever banquet -- a big bash with raffles, drawings, auctions, good food and drink, and great hunter community camaraderie. Tomorrow it's check the fields for huntability and postings. The banquet is tomorrow night and then Saturday morning it's into the fields with old friends, some near, some from far away. Gus the Brittany is standing by for orders. The gun is clean and oiled. Could life be any sweeter? Adios Amigos!
