71% loss of nesting and wintering habitat.

What is the most important thing government and private conservation organizations should do to ensure the long term health of MNs pheasant population?

37% create more nesting habitat
18% preserve existing pheasant habitat
14% create more winter habitat

What is the most important thing government and private conservation groups should do to ensure the future of pheasant hunting in MN?

34% acquire more public land open to hunting
29% increase pheasant numbers
17% Continue and expand the walk-in access program

What do you think is the biggest threat to pheasant hunting in the future?

52% Lack of pheasants
32% Lack of places to hunt

State governments seem to spend a great deal of time and money mowing ditches. The ditch is used by pheasants for cover and nesting.

Why not start a program that reduces or eliminiates ditch mowing?

Seems like a simple solution...

I'm guessing we can't choose "all of the above". Each answer/choice has a part to play as a solution/cause.

I really hope this goes somewhere for you folks in Mn. Maybe other states will pick up on such summits if success is reached.

I guess they need something for the snow plowers to do in the summer time.
