A couple of pics of the pointer pups

This was their first time out with birds. OB (Orange Boy) would lock up as soon as he caught scent. Took Bob (liver and white) a while to figure out to use his nose instead of his eyes. Now on to more obedience training. I have OB turning to his name in the field, recall is strong and he is CC'd to both commands. Bob is a climb the curtains type of dog. He is my "meth head" pointer. A work in progess.

Great looking dogs!

Pointer pictures

Nice pictures. OB is a fine looking dog. I like the head shape. Reminds me of EP's from the 1950's.

I envy those in Kansas who still have room to allow a dog to "run".

Great looking pups. I'm looking into getting a pointer as well when I return. What the story on these two? What stock do they come from?

HTA and Branscums Nickel for the most part.

They are litter mates. It was a unique situation. I went to buy a little orange female I had my eye on. Ended up getting OB instead. Bob, well, Bob got thrown into the mix somehow for free. My youngest daugher worked a "puppy dog eye" deal with Chuck and I guess since he had a "bob' tail and my daughter was attached to him he felt generous. (thank you again Chuck for the xtra work by the way) LOL!

Hoping to get them in the Sandhills in Sept and either ND or MT by October.

I'm very fortunate here where I live. I have a few hundred acres right outside the back door to run and train on. And another 100 or so a half mile away.

Good to hear keep us up to date on their happenings.

Couple of sharp looking fellas there. I hope to get my little pointer bred the next time she comes in.
