A-5 Safety

I've got an old Japanese Browning A-5 that needs work on the safety. It floats back and forth without any resistance, but still functions properly when it is pushed to one side or the other. I'm wondering if this is most likely just a broken spring or if it is something a little more in depth. Any advice would be appreciated. And seeing as we're 3 weeks from the KS opener I'm having trouble finding a gunsmith that would be able to get to it in time. Thanks!!!!

It could be a spring, pin, ball or sear. Here is a parts list that shows the safety:
