How about those measurements?

Here's what they mean.....97% of corn is harvested now.

Last year there was only 26% or corn harvested at this time. WOW!

5 Year average is 72%

What a stark contrast over last year.

Pheasant harvest 50% complete:D

just got back

Chris
I just returned from cattail haven . We hunted jerrry's farm and was unable to work the dogs because this farm is overrun with sand burrs. You should advise prospective hunters that long or medium haired dogs wil require 2-3 hours deburring for each couple of hours hunting. The only field that was huntable with a setter or spaniel was the 20-30 acre grass field right behind the barn. We saw birds but this is a place that could use some weed control.

JW, I have hunted the place the last 2 years in a row and have had guides that hunt it once or twice a year without issue. Granted I have a lab but I just want to be sure we are talking about sandburs and not giant foxtail and/or cockleburrs?

Pheasants and weeds go hand in hand in South Dakota but I will cetainly pass oalong your comments to the owners.
