2013 SD Pheasant cover

Just a peek at some cover on the farm here in the Platte area.
The breakdown, cover as pictured 30 acres--the corn 150 acres.

Until the corn is harvested the birds are pretty safe.

Brome makes good brood raising cover.
Pheasants are pretty much safe from everything in the thick corn.
Still usually plenty of weed seed and bugs in the corn field.
