2011 Cast and Blast

More cast than blast. The walleyes were so hot that on Sunday we had 8 16-18 inchers in 20 minutes. Spent about 2.5 hours Sat., but fish averaged a little bigger. After Sat I knew where to start Sunday!

Lots of chickens and grouse on the grasslands but no one could get near them in the strong southeast wind. Just as the dogs would point the birds would bust. We got one. Sunday was completly different and everyone but me was shooting them up. Partner got two and missed on a flock of six. Guess I am the walleye master as I did not get a shot, birds flying all around.
 
Now I'm hungry for walleye! Sounds like a great cast and blast.
 
U.B. The birds are the same way in the Sand Hills. If the dogs get in too close they bust. Great for training. Nothing better then wild birds.
