A bright forecast for this yearâ??s upland bird hunting

North Dakotaâ??s 2007 upland hunting season, including pheasants, sharptail and prairie chickens, looks to be shaping up to be one of the best of recent history. Good population carryover from last year and decent nesting conditions have contributed to the conditions prime for a banner year.

Please watch a very informative webcast by the department of game & fish that explains the outlook for the coming season and also gives some helpful info on the different upland game bird species that North Dakota has to offer.

This weekâ??s North Dakota Game and Fish Department webcast, Outdoors Online, is now online at http://www.gf.nd.gov/multimedia/ndoutdoors/webcast-recent.html
The program features upland game supervisor Stan Kohn discussing pheasant and grouse counts, and what the numbers look like for the fall hunting seasons.
