We ear tag red deer in some places in the UK. This has allowed us to track some of the deer. Some have travelled more than 80 miles. Crossing motorways, rivers and around towns. Mainly males.

The Antelope in Southern Canada migrate some 80-100 miles South to Winter in the Missouri Breaks.
Recently discovered too that Sage Grouse will travel the same distance to Winter in the Sage Country in and near the Breaks.
When the weather gets nasty in Nov I've seen many times large flocks of Sharptails flying South with the wind into the breaks.
The Breaks have lots of South and West facing hills and valleys. Dry climate and sunshine keeps the slopes snow free in coldest weather.
