I too have a citori superlight in the 12 and 20; which one gets used in pheasant counrty depends on mood. Never had a problem with the weight(s). The 20 gets used here in the NC mountains chasing grouse.
I am talking about a Citori Lightning, not a Superlight. Browning lists the weight of the 12 ga. Grade 1 Lightning with 28" barrels at 8.2 lbs. What does your 12 ga. Superlight with 28" barrels weigh?
Probably close to seven pounds..... Not really that much difference in either model other than stock design. Pistol grip adds a bit of weight over my straight English stock, but I can imagine that much.
My 12 gauge superlight is the older (not feather lite) and is about 7.25 lbs. the 20 gauge superlight again the older is about 6.5 lbs. They are both 26" barrels.
I have a 12 GA Citori White Lightning with 28" barrells. I just put it on the scale at 7 lbs 15.4 oz. I bought it about 6 years ago as my first nice O/U for trap, skeet, sporting clays, and hunting (to trade off with my 12 GA Browning A5. It was fine for clays but heavy to lug around the field, as was my A5. I sold the A5 and got a 7 lb Maxus as my main hunting gun. Then I found a great deal on a Citori Grand Prix Sporting so that's my main clays gun. The white lightning is probably going to move out of my safe unless my wife starts shooting more.
