11-10-2012 East of DSM Hunt

Took a newbie out this morning for a one field, 45 minute hunt, on my wife's birthday (yes, I've a GREAT wife).

4 roosters bagged. 7-8 seen . . . and 5-6 hens. Most were flushing wild in the crazy hot temps. It didn't feel like we should have been hunting.

KBell - this one had a creek running through the center of it. Some water, but not much.

All birds taken were this year's hatch. 4-4 shooting.

Sure was warm out there, but that's November in Ioway.

Sounds like a gr8 day-makes me jealous.

My son and I took some old furniture to the dump this afternoon-broke a sweat unloading the truck-how's that for comparision?
