Yes . . . lots of corn is still in, and it's warm/hot, but some birds are to be had.
My buddy and I saw decent numbers, mostly singles, and mostly YOUNG birds (some hadn't fully molted and could barely fly). We essentially hunted one field, getting 5, and then pushed an edge of another to bag our 6th.
Shot 3-3, but all were close range so any fool could have connected.
My buddy bagged his 3 too.
Surprisingly, we saw very few hunters. Central to NW Central Iowa.
