    2 day walk in trip

Another thing to consider is crop rotation and the length of the contract. Lets say a landowner enrolls ag ground for four years... there's a good chance three of the four years will be terrible hunting for gamebirds ( maybe good for deer) and one year the birds are great. I agree the system...

    What would your reaction be?

Colorado residents should get the first week of elk season then too... lol

    First day in Western Nebraska

Hunted hard today and bird numbers are definitely not where they were six years ago in the large swath of country I covered. There’s also a ton of corn up and with all the rain I wonder when or if it will get picked. Hunted with four GSP’s two veterans and two rookies but they all can find birds...

    Let’s talk hunting

I hate seeing September end… most hunters are thinking bugling elk but I’m in love with the grouse and the dogs…

NEWS FLASH: Drought ends at Ponderosa

Kocia can be a miracle worker when crp isn's available... In fact it may be better than Switchgrass or Indian grass. I agree there's less habitat but there's still good enough numbers out there to make a turn around if our government can make crp competitive again... I'm not holding my breath on...

    Phillips County report

and a big crp sign up... most of the crp in colorado now is corners and birds cant make a living in those in the winter... Particularly when its enrolled in walk in.

    Getting Good Rain

haha i hear you, I actually heard that on this same forum years ago and got a good chuckle out of it. My buddies and I rip on each others dogs, they told me last year my male was going to give everyone pink eye from the gas he had one night...

    28 guage

I shoot a pile of roosters with a 28 and cheap ammo, range and shot placement have more to do with it than the ammo.

    Elkhart/

My friends and I shot a pile of roosters on Wiha last year in a multitude of regions and counties. Go hunt and be satisfied with the fact you put your dogs on the ground and had a chance at fair chase on wild birds. Things could possibly never turn around for the bird but should we just quit...

There are no pheasants left in Kansas according to a popular poster on this site, time to sell your guns and dogs folks..... There is no doubt habitat loss is an issue in Kansas and across America for that matter but damn there is a debbie downer problem on the kansas forum. If you scare...

    SE WY Sharptails???

A pheasant is extremely rare around there... Please do some research before hunting around there and expecting to pull a trigger. If you really want sharptails look farther north in the Thunder Basin National Grasslands........

Boss Warchief Bismuth buffered load dissection data and patterning results.

I have a buddy that likes shooting that stuff.. We call is gun the ATM haha. I'm sure its nice stuff and love the idea of non toxic loads but I hunt too much to pay that kind of money for ammo.

As of this morning there are four puppies available, one female and three males. The Dam and Sire are unregistered bird finding machines that have...
