My lab would act hungry 10 minutes after eating the whole bag of food if he got the chance. My setter was losing weight on full feed until I found one he liked. All dogs are different but labs are well know for their endless appetite.
That is correct once pigeons have established "home" (usually by breeding) they will do all they can to fly back there. Since yours have chicks you could probably use them for training but I would definitely wait until the chick are self sufficient. Either way you will want to make sure your...
She was probably feeling the lower stims before but just tolerating it. I've had stubborn dogs that would tolerate pressure just to be stubborn until I broke their "pressure" threshold, but once they were convinced that it wasn't worth the resistance training went quickly. Maybe she's not being...
I have been working with my 4yr old male lab. He isn't registering/remembering where the dummy lands, or isn't marking where it lands. He goes out and scent finds really well, but very often runs right over or past where he just watched the dummy land. Any suggestions for helping him to mark...

I have seen a few coveys, but I haven't specifically targeted them. The quail I saw this year were all south central, although I heard some while hunting an hour outside Council Bluffs
Not my experience but I have heard there are a significant portion of the landowners that posted their land just because they want to know who and when, but readily give permission.
Are you using the ND Game and Fish hunting atlas? If so, the orange crosshatching is for posted areas. Landowners have electronically posted the property as NOT open to public hunting. ND has unique property law concerning hunting.
That's a nice morning. I went for a couple hours with a friend and saw a few hens. There was some snow down here yesterday but not enough to bunch them up. It looks like that is coming tomorrow, I can't wait.
