Tessa's weekly Saturday waterwork was interesting! She decide that this fallen skier needed her assistance. There was a ski event going on, we don't know who the rescued skier is.

We got our limit of sage grouse. We saw a good number of birds this year. A great hunt with good weather also.

M-100 predates the 416 it is slightly smaller that the 416. Most parts are interchangeable on them. They were built for the flat fender jeep initially.

How about a few more pictures and write up on this set-up? I have a M-100 trailer that needs to be converted and it is always good to see what is working for other people. Thanks

    Thread about Badland Kennels ?

That was Me. I wanted to mention the young man who took the time to help us on our first day of hunting. If he is any indication of the young men and women that will lead America in the future, I am confident in our country's future. Here is his kennel page, I hope this is not a violation of the...

Tessa and the pelican. Fun day at Fiesta Island San Diego. We usually go here every weekend. This is the first time we have seen pelicans near this beach. It dove 3 times and she swam after it twice without a fetch command.

You guys have 4 seasons up here. We have seasons in Southern California also, green and brown. Mostly brown, normal rainfall for my area is 9 inches per year. So technically a desert. I’m referring to the plants that have turned brown from winter up here.

None really, some areas look like California. With a lot more water of course.

We decided to go out again after we put the turkey in the oven. We herd birds in the field but they ran out the back end as we followed them. We shifted west100 yards and worked our way back. My dog went on point by a row of trees and a good sized rooster flushed and put a good shot on it...

I have probably seen more pheasants in the last two days than in all the years I have hunted in California. We have seen a few of the legendary 20 plus bird flushes, singles in places we thought birds wouldn’t be. Mostly hens but a few roosters also. Dogs are getting tired so we will take today...

We made it here last night. We got out to hunt this afternoon, first area yielded 4 hens. Met a guy hunting in an adjacent field who had his limit. He was very kind and offered many pointers and area suggestions. Later we put up two roosters that my son got one. My Weimaraner got the retrieve...

The being “on me” is probably the biggest issue I have with testing her! We have several judges in our group, I might ask one of them to evaluate her on our next trading day. Her weakness is the water search, we don’t have a lot of lake and ponds available down here to get work on.

We have a NAVHDA in San Diego, so I do most of my training with them. As far as testing she missed NA testing due to Covid rules in our area. She’s pretty close to being ready for UT testing now but I’m not sure if I am going to test her. I really like where she’s at right now though. I’m...

Idaho make a great point about the hunting atlas, I do the same, I also print out specific counties and make notes on them as well. County maps area little easier to view and navigate with, these maps are also georeferenced and you can download them in the gps apps, then you can navigate via...
