    No weekend reports?

Well darn. I've got the back half of both a ND and SD license but it doesn't look like I will get to use them. I'll make a few more eastern CO trips but expect to be mostly looking at the scenery.

Let's see pics of your bird hunting truck or SUV set up!

2010 Ram 2500 Megacab Cummins so I can pull my hitch trailer in the summer. With the back seats down flat I can put two kennels in sideways and my two labs load from the back passenger door. I've got a shell but keep the dogs inside the truck. It makes for a two hunter, two dog vehicle, so...

    weekend reports!!

I made my first eastern CO trip as a 2-day jaunt on Dec. 18 and 19 with my 11 yr old lab Brady and a buddy with his two springers-11 and 4. In our first field (private) we put up a mixed group of about 8 at fairly long range. I could not make a proper ID so did not shoot. He missed one long shot...

    Pheasant Breakfast Sausage

I second, or third, the idea of grinding pheasant for sausage as my wife will eat it that way. I also cut it up for chili supplements and have made pheasant pot pies that turned out very good.

    Geezer Hunt

Yes, this. I will block when I need to if nobody else is volunteering. But since I have two labs-usually alternating them-I usually am a marcher. I'm just a middle-aged geezer-72. I hunt primarily for my dogs Tom

Wow, I thought that was just a story that the media dredged up.

    Dog Breed Popularity

It is sure hard to believe that the French Bulldog tops the list now. I sure never see them around. I wonder where they all are. Maybe it's an east coast/west coast thing, and not a Colorado thing.

    New addition to the pack

So who else is still in the pack? Parker on the left is 13 and retired. Brady on the right is 10 and still hunting fine. New pup is also a yellow pointing lab, Tucker, now 2. He has done great hunting but he and Brady still knock heads around the house.
