Quail are mystical beasts now. So and so heard one, my brothers neighbor seen one, etc. Tiny pockets exist but no hunting allowed anymore.

Been hunting Browning bss in 12 gauge. Son shooting Lefever Nitro in 20. Dads been hunting his model 21. Got an old Fox circa 1907 I like to shoot, but I ran out of paper.

Been awhile since I been here. Dearth of posts. Been out 3 times got 2 birds. Seen good numbers.

Got a couple. Pop shooting his Dad’s model 11, my son shooting his Lafever Nitro 20g, holding my Fox A. Had a great season with a my new Setter. Did a couple pheasant farm hunts and got after the wild birds almost daily. Got my share and missed some too.

My buddy got a bird, that’s my Pop shooting an LC Smith. One more day till seasons end.

Hitting last few days hard. Got a bird Saturday and had luck today. Seen lots of hens!

Anybody hunting in the heart of it all? Going to a new spot tomorrow; said to be full of birds. We’ll see at 8 30 am.
