Wow Rained hard this am. 4 inches in three hours. Flooding the washes and flooding the normally dry river beds. Stranding motorists all over the central desert. All the water holes will be full just in time for Dove season.:thumbsup:

The forecast is calling for half and three quarters dof and inch, both Friday night and Saturday. and almost that much on Sunday. We need it badly 2" would be great for the Gambles right before they start pairing up. we will see.:)

Well we went out today, took a writer from Quail forever and arizona colorado, and wyoming rep. We also where join with the small game biologist and his boss, from the AZgfd. We pushed 15 coveys of gambles quail, most covey had 20 to 30 birds in them. We did hit one super covey of 50 to 75...

I just got back from a Mule deer foundation/ Quail Forever Youth hunt. It was a big hit. The kids that drew tags hunted deer and the kids that didn't have deer tags, hunted quail. The Game and Fish provided Food and shotguns for the kids to use. We had a couple of Arizona pointing dog club...

Well Game and fish just posted the small game outlook for 2013/14 season. Looks like its going to be a tough year for Quail in central Arizona.:( Guess I'll have to travel to find birds like last year. Two weeks until dove opener, I can't wait to get out and see for myself if quail numbers are down.
