    2024/2025 Pheasant Hunting Videos

here's a youtube I saw tonight. The guy seems like he really loves hunting and loves his dogs. At the end he hunts a ditch. Some might look down on that, but I thought it was great. Pheasant hunting is such a great way of life, and I love being able to see how other hunters approach it with...

    Golden Retrievers allowable hunting temps

I've noticed over the years, it's never too cold for the goldens I'm lucky enough to follow. It can be 10 degrees out, I find a spring creek flowing and the dog will lay in it to cool off. And once me and the dog fell through the ice in a slough, it was around 30 degrees out. I figured she would...

    Sub-Zero Temps Worth The Trip?

On a serious note, now I've seen two comments on a different forum about a large number of pheasants in south Dakota having heritage from the bird pen. I wonder what the total number of birds are released every year that were hatched in an incubator?

    Small Munsterlander

I know a grandpa from the trap club. He's got two German dogs. One is a wirehair and he loves that dog. He also told me the dog growls at everyone, even his wife. The other story I remember from when I used to listen to the Ron Boehme podcast he said his wire hairs would always start fights with...

    Winged bird

I thought goose lost a bird or two this year because the bird fell or ran into a really dense thicket and it was an area a mountain line had been known to prowl so he was nervous about Mr. Jones and Rivers safety. I'm not positive on that so I'll wait for him to chime in.

    Small Munsterlander

The only dog I've ever seen that could out hunt a draht is a German wirehaired pointer.

End of shooting hours,? for evening hunters

When hunting at the end of day, should you be out of the field at end of shooting hours, or can you hunt until the closing bell 🔔 and then walk out?

If you ever get down by Yankton keep your eye out for quail coveys. An under the radar hotspot for them.

Guess i am different then some ....

I go hunting with a deputy sheriff. I was checked by the game warden grouse hunting. I had my limit of grouse and he asked for some tips, as he was out of his normal zone, covering for a guy in medical leave. I went over maps of where I found my birds and basic strategy. Talked to the guy a...

    Game warden question

No I didn't. I said any, which is not specific to all individuals, including in this case.

    Game warden question

Exactly⬆️⬆️⬆️. Any game warden hasseling a non-hunting walker just along to see what it's all about is doing a disservice to all involved. I wasn't there when the warden talked to this lady so can't comment on his tone.

    Game warden question

I knew this response was coming, and I don't disagree with the sentiment. But the question is about legality and not ethics.
