I have a Final Rise that I bought to replace a browning Bird n lite. The final rise is sweet, light comfortable and well made. Easy to load birds, and holds plenty of water.

I use Fido Vite sportz dog supplement. It’s got joint support, pre and post biotics, Omegas and vitamins and minerals all in powder you put on the dog food. A high quality dog food does wonders as well!

How old is the dog? There are also issues that can arise em keeping an intact male with no intention of breeding in the future.

I’m in SE MN and have mine with a taxidermist in Chatfield. He was about a 1yr wait on birds last I talked with him. I had a heck of a time finding a taxidermist taking birds in the first place. Most just want deer it seems like.

We stopped out for a quick hunt on our way home today at some local private land. Flushed 4 roosters and about 8 hens. Of course only 1 rooster flushed in gun range, the birds were rumbling like crazy today.

Your TV is pretty accurate. We went for an hr and flushed a few hens and managed 1 rooster. The rooster was nestled in so tight my dog caught it. Needless to say the heat in the truck felt good when we got done.

I’m getting ready to head out now, windy and cold but the dog doesn’t mind 🤷‍♂️

That’s our 2nd time picking up a cripple left behind by someone else this season. We shot a 2nd bird that trip for our limit but the video didn’t turn out well.

I agree with you 100% on lead being superior to bismuth, and am not trying to look down upon anyone for choosing it. I was just merely trying to talk about the options out there that people have. They have just come a lot further than they were in the past. My fault on getting things off topic...

I agree with you guys 100%. But for the avg pheasant hunter a box of 35 dollar shells is the least expensive purchase. Think of the cost, of a dog with dog food, vet bills, ect… Then a license and stamp, vests, boots, shotguns. Most of us are probably not shooting 300 dollar shotguns to save...

Thanks, I’m in SE Mn and the public land cover is getting better every year. We hunt strictly public land. A couple years ago you would hunt all day for 1 bird, the last couple years the population has gotten much better.
