    Is that so?

Pheasant hunting and guns are both freedoms that are and will be threatened more in the future. Just ignore it, don't talk about it or it will never happen attitude will just speed up the process. This issue isn't important to the sport I guess.

    Hunting Boots

It took me 30 years to do this. I have 2 pair, Gumleaf for wet conditions and Irish Setter for dry. I will never go back to not having 2 pair. https://www.gumleafusa.com/ Gumleaf are expensive however the fit and weight are awesome. I have wore them heavy for 3 seasons showing no wear. I alwaya...

    What is the takeaway here?

That's so unfair that the farmers get preferred treatment. The city folk need their government mortgages and any student loans or federal debt forgiven as well. I need not worry...it's probably in the works.

    Training/hunting

I have to push my German wirehair off our front deck to take a wiz because he is typically on point on some sort of bird. Good bird dogs are happy with any type of bird hunting and adapt naturally.

Rest easy my friend, a tribute to Wyatt

I shed tears the 3 times I've lost mine, especially the 1st. It's like pulling a big piece of bark off of you. I don't waste anytime on getting a pup though, best remedy for the pain.

    A common tip

I gave up on walking straight lines while hunting a long time ago. I just follow my dog as slow as we can go, more relaxing, sometimes when that tail starts throwing a wind I pick it up a bit. I have hunted the same field the same day with same dog and picked up birds. Them squirrly roosters run...

    Rooster and Hen ratios?

In SE Iowa from running my dog a half dozen times I would say 2 to 3 roosters to 1 hen. Roadside birds are mostly roosters.
