    Dog skin and coat care

I fed NutriSource for several years and felt it was a quality dog food, as good as you can get. (y)

    Dog skin and coat care

If you want your dogs coat to look good and shine the dogs diet will have more impact than an occasional bath with any kind of shampoo and conditioner. If you just feed a quality kibble and maybe supplement it with fish oil, or something of that nature, your dog's coat should be just fine...

    Prevent fur loss

I have a Brittany that's an allergy dog. She has been getting Cytopoint injections for nearly 7 years and it has totally controlled the itching and hair loss. Originally the vet said the Cytopoint would last 4-8 weeks but we normally get by closer to 12 weeks. The shots are costing me about...

Oh, now I see that it is a Scheel's exclusive boot. https://www.scheels.com/p/mens-crispi-west-river-2.0-boots/15285-CF8430-4200.html

    Uninsulated Boots??

I don't see a boot called the West River on Crispi's web site.

    Feeding Time

That's what I do. Been doing it for years on the advice of breeders, field trialers and vets. There has been one exception with my current dog. In cold, snowy and wet weather she has become Hypoglycemic a couple of times. She runs so hard and burns a lot of energy plus burning energy trying...

    Remember Poly Chokes?

I had an adjustable choke on a 16 ga. Remington 870 back in the 60's. It was a Herter's brand that I bought directly from them and had them install it. Herter's were still in Waseca, MN at the time. The choke seemed to work fine as I shot a lot of pheasants and ducks with that gun.

Pointing to far/ not moving in on running birds.

Or a heck of a field trial dog. I really don't see what the OP posted as being a problem. But I guess we all have our individual ideas of what we want our dogs to do in the field.

Should I feel bad cutting a stock?

With a gun that light in 12 ga. recoil could be an issue unless you stick with some lower velocity loads. I think you can rule out any 3 inchers. I'd try shooting it "as is" and see what you think before cutting it. You're only talking about 3/8's of an inch. It's not a cheap gun so I'd give...

Why did you go with the breed that you did and have you been satisfied?

From 1974 to 1996 I had 3 Springers and a Lab. In 1996 the Springer I had developed hip dysplasia and a friend of mine in Colorado had a litter of Brittany pups. He offered to give me my first Brittany and I've been hooked ever since. I'm now on my 4th Brittany. I love the size, disposition...

    New Law

You obviously don't know the laws in SD. If we are talking about licenses to hunt pheasants there is no limitation. You can buy as many as you want. Each license is valid for a total of 10 days.

    New Law

Since when did South Dakota limit non-resident hunting license, other than maybe waterfowl and big game.

PSA-Loosen up that choke, or get rid of it altogether

Tom Knapp. I met him and had a couple of drinks with him in Huron, SD at the Ringneck Festival years ago. He put on a shooting exhibition on Friday afternoon. Pretty incredible what he could to with a shotgun and some clay targets. However, on Saturday, the day of the pheasant hunting...

PSA-Loosen up that choke, or get rid of it altogether

I've been using IC in my guns almost exclusively since the mid 70's.

    Tools?

I assume you are talking about pheasant hunting. I've been hunting pheasants for more than 60 years and never carried anything more than maybe a knife and a length of rope in case my dog got caught in a conibear trap.

    Collars

Thanks for this info. Guess I haven't looked at the newer Garmin units. It appears the TT25 is about $50 more than the TT15 Mini, but I'd spend the extra bucks and get the TT25 and have the latest technology. I do like the smaller size on my Brittanys.
