    Remington 1100 magnum.. issues

What do you mean "no difference"? It certainly will changing to a standard 2 3/4" barrel. You will be able to shoot non-magnum shells. The standard barrel has two gas ports, the 3" magnum barrel only has one.

    Remington 1100 magnum.. issues

There are also some 1100 barrels on GunBroker.com Probably going to set you back $200-300 but will give you a much more serviceable shotgun. Good luck.

    Remington 1100 magnum.. issues

I think your best solution is to buy a standard 1100 12 ga. barrel for 2 3/4" shells. The receivers are the same on the Magnum and non-Mag so a standard 12 ga. barrel will work and allow you to shoot lighter loads. There are a lot of used 1100 barrels on eBay. Some with vent rib and some...

    Dog Trainers near Central Indiana

Since you are in central Indiana I would check with the guys with NSTRA in the area. NSTRA's national headquarters are in Danville and the Indiana Region has some trials coming up in the Indianapolis area. If you would visit one of their trials I'm confident you could get some good advice on...

    Time for another e collar!!

I hear you guys when you complain about the size of the 550. More than most of us need. I have the Garmin Alpha but it has way more functions that I need or will ever use. Plus the size is also larger than I'd like. So how about the SportDog TEK 1.5 LT? Cheaper than the 550 or Alpha with a...

    New Sock Observation

All I've ever worn for years are Merino wool socks in my hunting boots. Either alone or with a moisture wicking inner sock.

    How long

I've had Brittants for nearly 30 years. If it's not too warm and the dog is in "hunting condition" they should be able to go most of the day. I've had dogs that could hunt all day but my current Brit has one speed (pedal to the metal) and is pretty much done in 2-3 hours. But that's okay with...

    Oddest Animal Pointed Ever

Turkey, one more than one occasion. Quite the surprise for both the dog and myself when it flushed. Looked like a 747 taking off.

    Choking for Wind

In my nearly 70 years of pheasant hunting I have found the exact opposite to be true. Pheasants always seem to be wilder on windy days.

    Choking for Wind

I don't see that wind speed should effect your choke choice. Only unless your shots are being taken at longer ranges.

    Bird Processor in Aberdeen?

I found a place in Aberdeen called Ringneck Cleaners but I am unable to find any contact info. I'd suggest that you check with the motel you are staying at. If they cater to hunters they will likely have some names of bird cleaners. I think a general cost is $5-6 per bird.

    A5 16gauge

You will enjoy the light weight of the new Sweets. Although my 1960 Sweet with 26" ribbed barrel in just a tad over 7 lbs. Both great guns but I prefer the new one due to the weight and choke tubes. I'm not a fan of Prairie Storm ammo. I'd recommend the Federal HV Upland loads or the Fiocchi...

    A5 16gauge

I've had my new A5 SweetSixteen since they first were available. I have never had a jam or a fail to fire and I've put all kinds of ammo through it. For hunting I use mainly Fiocchi Golden Pheasant 5's and 6's, but also some Federal PF high velocity loads, Federal regular 1 1/8 oz., Kent 1 oz...
