    2022 pheasant harvest by state

Hahahahahaha. Your survey will come with tin foil to make your hat.

    2022 pheasant harvest by state

So you think they lie about their numbers and report near historic lows?

    2022 pheasant harvest by state

I don't know every state's methodology. Kansas sends out a survey to about 29k people who bought hunting licenses, have lifetime licenses, or do not need a license to be able to hunt (landowners, tenants, etc.). They get about 8k responses back and extrapolate the data.

    2022 pheasant harvest by state

Kansas's small game survey just came out. I usually keep pretty careful track as the states report out. Some easier to obtain than others.

    2022 pheasant harvest by state

Kansas only shot 225k pheasants in 23-24. Probably lower than MN.

    Lab guys sorry but....

Ask one of the phony Irish people you find running around on St. Patrick's Day.

    Favorite steel

I'm hoping the Hi-Bird bismuth (w/ fiber wad) they announced at shot show hits the market at some point.

    Party Hunting

I am against party hunting. It brings out the worst in me and many, many others. If it works for you or your group, I applaud your restraint and decorum. But for me nothing more reliably saps a hunt of it's potential to be a meditation on movement, nature and beauty and turns it into a venile...

    Prairie Storm Steel

Do they have the biodegradable wad? I bought a 12 gauge upland gun and am making the switch (and selling some of my 16s) just so I can be done with plastic wads.

    Lab guys sorry but....

I have 2 labs and a springer and after hunting with my buddies GSPs, setters, vislas, and griffons, I will not be getting a versatile dog until I'm too old to keep up with a flusher. It's just too boring. At some point, I understand you just get too slow to actually hunt, and I'm happy there's...

Should I feel bad cutting a stock?

I would never give a moments extra thought to altering a shotgun to suit my needs, desires or tastes.

Should I feel bad cutting a stock?

Near total derailment of the thread, but if they ever come out with a lightning/round knob grip on a 725 action (especially the feather) it would be the best Citori Browning ever made.

    Land prices.

CWD will probably solve that problem in our lifetimes.

    Boss shotgun ammunition

They banned lead paint in 1978 and there's still 5,000 Sherwin Williams stores in the United States.

    Boss shotgun ammunition

Yes, I remember when they first banned dumping toxic waste into the public water supply and now no one is allowed to drink water.

    Browning 20ga A5

If you like the way they look (I don't) and you are a fan of 20 gauge guns (I'm not), it makes sense, right? I mean, there are a lot of guns that are only available in 20 ga that would interest me in 16, even though realistically a 3" 20 ga can do everything a 16 can do. And while I never have...

    Reports

Went goose hunting in Kansas over the weekend, dragged the spaniel along and spent lunch breaks bird hunting. First real trip out this season (though I've taken a couple quick 2 hours jaunts to my Northeast KS honeyholes). Probably hunted a total of 4 hours, put up 25+ pheasants (mostly in one...
