Opening day is less than a month away!:D. Where do you plan on hunting? I think I will either stay around central iowa or I may make the drive up to NW iowa.

Has anyone gone rabbit or squirrel hunting yet? The season opened yesterday (30th) and I have been seeing lots of rabbits at my place. I think I will try and shoot a few tomorrow if it's not raining:thumbsup:

I just saw pheasant feat is in Des Moines this year...well it's actually February 2015 but you get it. I have always wanted to go but haven't. It looks like I will be going this time:D. Has anyone been there or are you going?

Today I took Gunner my 2 year old GSP out for a hunt. We saw two hens but only hunted maybe 2 hours at most. He pointed one and the other one flushed wild. I do not get him out as much as I should and was wondering if hunting shorter cover is better/easier for him than hunting the 5-6' tall...

Is anyone planning on hunting this weekend after all of the snow? I think that I will go out tomorrow or Saturday. Went out last Saturday with 3 other guys and 5 dogs. Saw maybe 10 hens and 2 roosters. Birds are there but sitting MUCH tighter now. Good luck everyone!:thumbsup:

My GSP 6 months old likes to jump up on me all the time, when I feed him, walk in the door, all the time. Any way to stop him from jumping? I think he might be part kangaroo.:eek:

This is weird. Get a broom and put it on a hard surface floor, it wil stand up by itself tonite. I did not belive this until i tried it. Weird stuff! Try it.:eek:
