Had my butt kicked many times this year but never had a day without an encounter, I’m not one to keep notes but I’d say 15-18 days in nm chasing them suckers. Had a covey of 60-70 blues that I chased multiple times and took 3 birds from it all year. All you can do is tip your hat and smile.

I put a wrap on Oklahoma yesterday with a group that traveled in from out of state, smoking hot temps with no wind we scratched out 5 coveys by 1pm. We didn’t set any records this year but everywhere I hunted from nm to Oklahoma was significantly better this year. I got the look from the wife...

No clue other than marking them on onyx…. I’ve got 50 or more marked on the grass lands. Every road on the grasslands leads to water or a homestead.

Did 6 1/2 miles today in nm on a bur infested property, dog probably ran 15-18. Tube boots for me, they are flexible to not wear out the dog and never picked up a bur. Just find a boot that fits good, especially if u want to hunt 2-3 days in a row

I use a wrap of athletic tape then a wrap of 1 inch duct tape. I find the bad hotspots are on top of the toes. No wrap can prevent that, a good boot fit helps

Lewis are good, had problems with hot spots after a long day. One 5$ tube makes 8 boots, granted they do not last as long

Motorcycle tubes, my dogs wear boots 80% of the time. This is the best option I’ve found and a good price point, I don’t boot them for cactus as they need to navigate them on there own, works great for sand burs

If your dog is half lab it’s interesting to hear the point is still strong
