Last year I kept track of birds by species. I shot 46 chukar, 90 quail and 8 pheasants. I tried for a mountain quail and couldn’t get it done. I also shot 2 sage grouse. If I didn’t have a wife, I would be out even more.

I reload my shells and due to laziness, I shoot all upland birds with the same load as I shoot trap and skeet. I shoot 1 1/4 oz of 7 1/2 shot and use HS 6 powder. I can't for the life of me remember how much powder I use. Drew

I have, they come with some foam wind interference reducers. They also provide several replacements. They do a pretty good job. I have used walkers and they absolutely suck in the wind.

I have never experienced this before. It does sound like a quality control issue at the factory.

I doubt it's frost bite. Most likely a deformity or some sort of bacterial infection.
