Bree is a big runner but a lot depends on what I'm hunting and where. Monday we were out hunting Sharpies in the hills NE of Watertown. When she's in those big open pastures she just rolls. Nothing for her to be out 200-300 yds. Sometimes even more. Pheasant hunting in heavier cover I try...
I'm in East Central South Dakota. A lot of beans have been combined and the corn has really turned in the past couple weeks. Corn seems to vary a lot from field to field but I would guess there will be a lot of corn harvested in the next couple of weeks.
Will other states honor what has been done in South Dakota to transport birds across state lines? I would assume that if you have a SD hunting license and the proper documentation it should be okay.
I never see the barrel or the bead when shooting at birds. But when shooting sporting clays I do focus a little more on the barrel/bead.
It has always been the consensus that when shooting a shotgun you keep both eyes open.
The faster load is going to get to the target a 40 yds. approx. 0.012 seconds faster. I doubt the lead would change much, maybe inches. And your pattern at 40 yds. would certainly cover any difference. Just my quick calculation. :)
From what I'm reading, 28" or 30" barrels are more desirable today since these guns are mainly being used for sporting clays and waterfowl hunting due to the weight. I'm waiting for the OP to tell us the length of the barrel on this BSS.
Will do. Does it have 26" barrels? In this era of everyone wanting light weight guns it might be a tough sell. Have you weighed it? You might consider posting it on GunBroker.com.
Over the past 50 years I have had 3 Browning BSS shotguns. One 12 ga. and two 20's. They are probably one of the best bult SxS's ever made. Built like a tank and will never wear out. They just never made it due to poor timing apparently. Introduced in the early 70's and discontinued in...
I'm in Watertown. Beans are starting to turn but I haven't seen any being combined. Corn is a long way from being ready. Been really wet around here this year. Rained a little the past two days and have been raining pretty steady all day today.
