KS are you referring to 12 or 20 gauge?

I'm just curious what you guys use for quail in a 20 gauge load. When I was shooting my 12 gauge I was using 7.5 shot target loads and they worked great but wasn't sure if the lighter load in 20 would work as well.

Grainbelt Nordeast is my go to. I'm not sure I've ever tried the regular grainbelt.

There are fewer birds in that area but if you get after them early season you should be able find some. The farther north you can go the better the hunting. All the higher counts have been north of highway 20 but there are pretty decent populations all thru out the state.

Are you using 3" or 2 3/4" on those late season hunts?

4shot I have noticed that ammo is tougher to find then 12 gauge.

I have a grandson that will be bird hunting in a few more years so I would expect the same thing may happen to me.
