    Strange things dogs do.

Someone gave me a nice-looking setter once. That crazy dog didn't give a crap about any kind of bird but would kill every snake he could find. I'd find him throwing the snake around just happy as hell. Gave him to some farm boys. They would take him snake hunting often. We don't have poisonous...

Marlin model 90 gets it done

That's the nicest wood I've ever seen on a 90. And yes, they were very underrated. If you open one up you'll see why. They are very simple and robust.

Can you open up the chamber of a 2 3/4" shotgun to shoot 3" shells?

I'm on there often just to monitor 16-gauge prices. They seem to be falling some. Another place that people don't realize is gunbroker. I've got some good deals on there. Especially if you don't mind the old stock section.

Can you open up the chamber of a 2 3/4" shotgun to shoot 3" shells?

Not sure about heavy shot but I looked into tungsten 2.75. 20 gauge last turkey season. Cheapest I could find was 45.00 for 5. Nope..

Can you open up the chamber of a 2 3/4" shotgun to shoot 3" shells?

Easy on break open guns. Depends on the auto. You would have to talk to a good gunsmith. I do know that guys used to do it with the 1100's and they worked fine.

Do we need to get away from plastic ?

One plus to extractors. You've already got them in your hand, so drop them in the vest.

    Bells on flushers

Absolutely, I lost my old (very close hunting 80 lb) Wire in a chest high switchgrass patch once. I made a couple circles around before I tripped over her pointing a hen.

I still camp to. I just got back from my 13th annual squirrel camp with my oldest grandson. And I have camped and bird hunted. Profile picture was inside my buddies Alacanac. It's too much work for me nowadays. I was a lot younger then and it still wore me out. By the time we got the dogs fed...

The 1st time I saw one of those roof tops, my mind went straight to the picture of me trying to get down those steps in the middle of the night to piss after a few brews around the campfire. Hell, I have enough problems with a tent zipper! Not to mention tripping over those stupid down strings!!

    Bells on flushers

I think it's a good idea. I talked my buddy into running a beeper in point mode only, along with a sport dog tracker. That way he's not looking at his tracker constantly. His little setter is pretty wide. I don't know if it's him or the tracker, but he has to walk while looking at it to see if...

    Youth model 20 guage

My dad wanted me to have simi autos for my 1st couple guns. He said they were safer because you only had to remember one thing after the shot. The safety. He must have been wright because I never shot anyone that didn't deserve it.

    Youth model 20 guage

I don't think they make them that small. Where did you find him, at the county fair? You're not kidding (kind of small)!! Put a ruler on him Goose, I want to know where he is between 4 and 6 inches. ;) Just kidding. Does the action matter? 20 gauge? I would look for a cheap 20 gauge pump and...

It's really not a bad looking gun. It just looks like you were a little hung over and grabbed the turkey gun instead of the bird un.
