Bausch and Lomb make a water soluble lens similar to a contact that minimizes if not eliminates pain from cornea scratches. I am not sure if they are available without a prescriptions from an optometrist. They are magic!

Pigeons are great for any breed, durable, easy to keep, inexpensive, and can really fly. If I ever buy another chucker someone please kick me.
If you are just looking to re-shim your gun just do it, it really is simple if you follow the instructions. But if you want your stock bent or shortened that is a entirely different animal. I hate to say it but if the gun fits that poorly I likely would sell it
Are you referring to the Ty/Greta litter? I wanted a pup from this litter in the worst way but I have a 3 dogs at a time rule. Dang these are going to be some prey driven, level headed and healthy pups.
Remember the quality of the hunt is generally dictated by the quality of the dogs. Poor public land will still give up a bird if your dog is better than everyone else before you.

I have also tied a plastic water bottle to a leg, by adjusting the water level a could adjust how high/fair they can fly. I think 2" of water really held them down, but 1" let them fly quite a few feet. This is with full plumage.
I have zero issue with hunting preserves, heck I guide at them quite few times a year. I also don't pretend to never loose a cripple, or question/insult other peoples hunts.
