    Knee Surgery Question

Thanks everyone. I ordered a knee brace yesterday. Honestly, I assumed that surgery, rehab and time would make that knee "as good as new" A knee brace sounds like a life long hunting companion from this point on.' Thanks everyone. Drew

    Knee Surgery Question

This last spring I had a knee scoped (torn meniscus). It is now July and it still gets really sore after I leisurely for a while. The next day the pain is gone, no swelling but then after a walk the pain is back....Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    Most Satisfying Shot

My favorite shot that I make every once in one hundred is the last station skeet shot on quail. Every now and then a quail gets up and comes right at me and once in a while I shoot it as it just reaches me but about 10 yards over my head. For some reason seeing that bird fall is the most...

Let’s talk boots (older crowd on here)

Danners used to be my go to boots. However my last two pair, as far as waterproofing have lasted a little longer than one season but definitely less than two. So, I am into my second pair of Meindls. I liked the first pair so much for deer and elk hunting that I bought a lighter 8" hiking...

How many of you let birds go?

The only birds that I release are those seen on my way back to the truck after my limit is reached.

No, the only real sign of wear is the trigger used to be gold and is now worn.

    Pointer or flusher debate

I’m most likely a simpleton. That seems like a lot!! My Griffon points until the bird moves, sometimes it’s the birds choice and sometimes I have to go kick it up. I have never been able to get her to break point and never thought about it.

My fault, I looked in my gun cabinet and somehow have 5 shotguns not three.

I have three shotguns and don't need but one and a backup. I shoot the Browning reasonably well but I have a Remington that I shoot really well with and right before I gained the Browning I picked up a new Stevens Auto and I really like that gun.

It has the original butt plate with it. I took it off to clean it up.

Early 1950's Browning Light 12 Gauge Shotgun Potentially for Sale

I inherited a 1950's Browning Light 12 a couple of years ago. I cleaned it up and used it last year off and on. I shot well with it and it performed well. I refinished it but didn't get several scratches out of the wood, so I will most likely go over the wood again and do a better job. That...

    Pointer or flusher debate

This has been a very entertaining post. I have owned both pointers and flushers and have hunted beside them both my entire life. When I was a kid, my folks got a cocker spaniel as a house dog. I lived in eastern Oregon at the time in the 70's and 80's and there were lots of pheasants and...
