I doubt it. Discoloration of wood is usually caused by sunlight. My experiences have been lighter wood turns dark and darker woods turn light. So I'm not positive but when I see that on older guns, I always think it's the rest of the exposed wood that turned lite, not the wood under the pad that...

There are a few manufacturers that produce aluminum alloy framed guns now. I would not recommend one for any of the shooting sports unless you're into that self-harm thing. Kansas is probably your best bet. Don't get your hopes up for shooting the limit there. Skip the walk ins, put the work in and you'll find some birds.
