    EVs for hunting?

FWIW - EVs are being heavily promoted for use (meaning, taxpayer subsidization" by various governmental entities - Fed, state and even local. This governmental largesse has always been the key to Elon's financial successes. Cops in Indiana liked them because the (subsidized, I'd guess) price...

More bombast, nothing to worry about here - right?

Yes, but not my word. This was the link to the article in that bombastic propaganda tool MSN. Ever heard of 'em? Also, yes, feeling OK. No one has attempted to disarm me today. So far.

    Predator (coyotes) question

Coyotes will do that too. Ugly.

More bombast, nothing to worry about here - right?

Who made this about BIden? Not me. Your politics do not concern me. As you indirectly suggest, our highly politicized judicial system should, and does. Cops are not the bad guys. They follow the leader, if they want to keep their jobs. These days, especially. But the bottom line here is...

More bombast, nothing to worry about here - right?

I read the brief, and that is quite a spin there. Why do you suppose the ACLU weighed in? There was zero whatsoever of an imminent suicide. There was a lot of evidence of a wife out to make life difficult for her hubby, and the police were pleased to assist. What if, based on your read, I...

    Predator (coyotes) question

Have you had trouble at calving time with coyotes killing not just the calf being birthed - but the poor cow, too? What a way to go.

Tell me this isn't smokin' hot

Actually - appropriate for the pheasant forum. It is quite possible that this woman is attempting to catch a pheasant. From Redfeather: Hook fishing Another possible way to catch a pheasant is to use a hook and bait. Everything is simple here. Take, for example, corn and string it on a hook...

Gotcha. You think this is all a big joke. Nope.

More bombast, nothing to worry about here - right?

Note the source - MSN. Who'd have thunk they were "bombastic". After all, they are on the right side of history. Along with Mao, Papa Joe and good ole Fidel. What is the world coming to?

    EVs for hunting?

Is that the same vehicle on which a Tesla exec shattered a window not once, but twice, on national TV to demonstrate how "bullet proof" it was?

    One thing you learned

NICE! I'm still going with the mule vice horse, though. Blood is thicker than water.

Used (and new, but no longer needed) DoD gear was transferred at no cost, not sold to the police. Which saved the US taxpayer big bucks in most instances. You wouldn't believe what it costs to demil (destroy) and dispose of perfectly good material - or what we are required to destroy. Not...

Are you referring to the first responder (LEO)? If so, would you acknowledge that the first guy in is at something of a disadvantage?

    Look away

Used to be that Constitutional standards mattered. But the judicial branch has been highly politicized. E.g., check out the 9th circuit's very recent "must show cause to exercise 2A rights" ruling. Nominations of judges that MIGHT not consider the Constitution outdates generate righteous...

    One thing you learned

This resonates with me. Gotta ask. Would it be legal to hunt pheasants from atop a mule? Not the motorized kind. My kin folk, some might say.

    One thing you learned

Good point but the pheasants know this, too - seems like they get a lot jumpier (even) when it is windy, because it is harder for them to hear. I may be part pheasant myself. Don't hear well (wind or no wind). And jumpy.

Tell me this isn't smokin' hot

I don't know about you, but I couldn't find a box, much less a few cases, of shotgun target loads (especially 20s) before the "mass shootings". If this is the new normal - you can have it, I don't want it!

Tell me this isn't smokin' hot

Four bird limit - that's 6 limits per box! I'd agree with you that COVID probably won't be a major factor - but induced fear of the successor variants might be. Doc Fauci says as much as 30% of current cases are new variants (read: most vaxes not effective).

    Look away

In every single instance you cite, what was missing was the ability of the victims to defend themselves. Mass shootings stop when the evil (or insane) person gets stopped. That tends to happen much faster when the potential victims are armed. I find humor in many things. Dead friends and...
