I've had the same problem. I think it helps prevent this if my dogs wear the collars often when I do training/ stamina training in the Summer. Typically they will run 1-2 hours a day with the collars on and that seems to toughen the neck area. I do think they can be too tight. Like yours mine...

I use Tile too, would not have bought, but it was a gift. I have used it to find my keys, but most often I use it to find where I left my phone. Wouldn't be without it now.

Just got back. Crops are just about all in. Bird numbers are about average. Talked to several locals that were dealing with covid so be careful. If you work hard you will have enough opportunities to score. Don't trust the ice in sloughs to hold you.

I'll second corn being extremely important. This year several farms I hunt had been forced to plant beans instead of the normal corn due to wet spring conditions. The cover and wood lots were basically the same as last year, but held much fewer birds.

All above good advice. Depends on size of your group but I like the smaller public areas that are most isolated with crops near by. They don't seem to get as much pounding. Look for the state corner signs as you drive. Not all public areas are on the SD map or app. OK that's 2.
