    Birds were the same as last year-which is good. The cover was definitely impacted by the drought though. Alot of what was left , got mowed/baled too(including cattails). Could be used to your advantage....

    Successful SD public hunt completed

    Congrats on a successful trip Texan! Nothing more rewarding than killing roosters with your own dog , especially when they are young up and coming! You might be back in time for our quail opener this weekend!...wish I could say more about our birds in N.T. but unfortunately it doesnt look good.

    Kansas was sitting @ 84% as of 2 days ago. SD was at 64 %...I'm going to go out on a limb, the state as a whole is probably sitting at 75 % ish.....
