Is there a reason for your dog's name?

I name my dogs after old west gunfighters fictional or real. Some are pretty obvious, some are pretty far out there. Glen Edins Everyday is a Holiday. Call name Doc Glen Edins Delta Marsh Daybreaker. Call name Ty (Louis Lamour character in the Day Breakers) Glen Edins Dutch is Fast. Call...

    Roger’s Toughman boots

I don't know what happened to Danner boots. They used to be great and now suck (maybe Bass Pro bought them :)). I know its only a week later but what do you think of the Toughmans? I might give a pair a try.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

I haven't seen it with a pheasant but I have with a Canada Goose. As for penance(???) coyotes need to eat too.

    Future of CRP ?

It might just be the areas I hunt, but CRP went away a few years ago. I really see very little of it, I can only think of 1 parcel of approximately 80 acres in a couple county area. I'm sure there is more but not a lot more. The only thing I am seeing more of is drain tile and center pivots.

    Geezer Hunt

Bausch and Lomb make a water soluble lens similar to a contact that minimizes if not eliminates pain from cornea scratches. I am not sure if they are available without a prescriptions from an optometrist. They are magic!

    Post your pictures

The best part of tailgate pics is zooming in and finding super douchie stuff like Michelob Ultra cans :). "There is more alcohol in orange juice" Billy Bob Thorten.

Stock fitting in Minnesota or Wisconsin

If you are just looking to re-shim your gun just do it, it really is simple if you follow the instructions. But if you want your stock bent or shortened that is a entirely different animal. I hate to say it but if the gun fits that poorly I likely would sell it

    Hunting solo tactics

I'm pretty sure both these techniques work great on the internet, but not so much in real life!

    cold to warm weather gear

I almost always end up over dressed, except for my hands. A good neck gaiter is more important to me than my boots.

    License check. Is this legal?

Inside or outside the law, I don't know? I wouldn't give it a second thought as it seemed like a pretty minor inconvenience.

    Needing another lab!!!

Are you referring to the Ty/Greta litter? I wanted a pup from this litter in the worst way but I have a 3 dogs at a time rule. Dang these are going to be some prey driven, level headed and healthy pups.

Remember the quality of the hunt is generally dictated by the quality of the dogs. Poor public land will still give up a bird if your dog is better than everyone else before you.

Here's a common report on any fakebook hunting page.

I hear Ya FB! It also happens on this forum but MUCH LESS often. My group had an exceptional opener, I wouldn't call it the best but definitely top five, maybe top 3 even. When I commented on the SD page here I had someone insinuate that I was on a preserve hunt and our birds were "flare...
