My strategy on cattails is to hunt with someone young and preferably someone who you don’t like, for me it’s my son in law. I send him in one end and I just keep pace with him along the most likely side for escaping birds. It works every time

Out Chukar hunting this last weekend and my Griffon pointed a large Bobcat. Thankfully, the Bobcat was as frightened of my dog as my dog was of the Bobcat. It could have went south but thankfully it didn’t. Drew

I went out to the west desert looking for chukar and hunted hard. I only saw 15 birds and killed 4 for the day. I hope things improve as winter progresses. Drew
