    Heartworm

TGM, Thanks for the post. I certainly don’t want to cause retinal damage to any of my dogs. I’m assuming you’re a veterinarian. If so, have you seen the problem/problems associated with ivermectin? My oldest dog is 10 years old and as far as I can tell his vision is as good as it has ever been...

Let's see pics of your bird hunting truck or SUV set up!

Ghetto/zombie rig. Insulated and a nice above ground mattress. I spent 14 nights straight in it and was comfortable. Took showers at truck stops and campgrounds.

    20 gauge ammo for quail

I like 6’s for all quail. Less cripples, not shot up as bad as smaller shot, and around 1,300 fps. I’ve found the blues are tougher than bobs and gambles.

    Heartworm

There are several YouTube videos. Calls for 1/10 of a cc per 10 lbs. so a 50 lbs dog gets 1/2 cc. I usually give both of my dogs a full cc because the trainer I got first dog from showed me that way. Pull the amount thru with a syringe and then unscrew needle and I put on a piece of bread with...

    Heartworm

I bought this 8 months ago and we give to our 3 dogs-2 shorthairs and a yorkie. Ten years ago it was $35 and it is still $35. It lasts 5 years for a 55 lbs dog.

That’s an awful story. I guess the drug companies have to save their money for those high dollar tv commercials they run every 2 minutes. Have you ever noticed the number of commercials involving drug companies, insurance companies, and/or alcohol companies? I guess we know where the money is...

    Cactus Avoidance

Welcome. They work great here in NM where prickly pear are abundant. The dogs will get used to them fast. It will save you and dog a lot of grief. Good luck

    Cactus Avoidance

Boot’em up, especially front feet. It will make a world of difference. Use tire tubes. There’s a great video on YouTube with Dr. Dale Rollins and another gentleman. They go step by step. Don’t mess around with boots you can buy, tire tubes are superior and way cheaper.

Best day in a long time!!

Same here in SE NM. Dry and few coveys. Crazy how few there are. Here's hoping for spring rains!

    Long Distance Traveling for Birds

Yeah we could get a couple homeless folks and they could start a podcast. You know they would all love my setup. It is sad to see so many living on the streets. Growing up in our small town in the 80's there was only one person that was homeless and I think he actually had a house. Fast...

    Long Distance Traveling for Birds

The “ghetto “ or “zombie” camper. It was used to house military electronics I believe. I installed a bed frame and bought a nice mattress. Not much room, but sleeps good and I don’t have to mess with a tent. I have a camp chef 3 burner stove and the buggy/sidexside all in one unit. Under the bed...

    Long Distance Traveling for Birds

Went all the way to ID from NM. Camped at dispersed campgrounds-no one around. No heater, low was only 28, but I think a buddy heater would suffice as the “ghetto/zombie” camper is insulated. Paid $20 for it

    Long Distance Traveling for Birds

Here’s my setup. Spent 12 nights. Never got a room. Took showers at truck stops. So much fun!
