Dog Transport Needed: Indy, IN to Gettysburg, SD

I'm Googling how many miles from Western Kansas to Indianapolis to South Dakota... I am kidding, or am I. This is a great opportunity for somebody?

    Bumper Color

I prefer the orange ones in the event that my dog can't find it, then my failing eyesight has a puncher's chance of finding it in the tall grass!

    Wanting to trade a hunt

I have the same concerns... Localized hail storms and the drought had to hurt the bird numbers, but a few of my customers are reporting "pockets" of birds similar to normal as they have started harvesting their corn. Too much standing crops left to know for a while.

    Wanting to trade a hunt

I just had to "Google" Idaho to see where it is...and they say Kansas is a fly-over state!?! 😜 I have often wondered where chukkar were native. We do a lot of control shooting with pen raised here for our youth events. I'll be happy to visit with you sometime. Shoot me a PM with your email.

    Wanting to trade a hunt

I've been on a couple snipe hunts in the past that didn't yield much success but I guess I'd consider trying it one more time ... if our schedules allow. Based on my past experiences, the fabled snipe seems to be very elusive. If you can guarantee me bag limit success, I will throw in a...

    Best rural eats

Big Ed's in Bird City is a 2 hour drive straight north of me, and we drive their a few times per year just to eat a steak. I've eaten lots of steaks, and have never found one better. Be prepared, it's a "hole in the wall"!

    Deuce etiquette

To protect the names of the innocent, they will be left out. I heard about "Jim" leaving the group during a hunt, to "check out a patch of weeds." When finished, he used a milk bone to "clean up" with as that was all he had. Relatively uneventful until prized hunting dog found said milk bone...

I also saw this post about swapping hunts. I would love to visit with you sometime about this. I live in western Kansas, and am fortunate to hunt pheasant all season long. I have always wanted to hunt hogs.
