Nice to carry, but tough to keep that barrel moving.

Not sure about the safety. Would that be the first hammerless called the Crass? What gauge? I think the most common barrels were 28" mod and full. They were very good guns.

20ga or 12ga for upland birds

If you want fun and sport, by all means a 20 will be fine if you know what your doing. If you don't you're going to be chasing a lot of cripples. Pheasant hunting can be very frustrating. You will probably see a lot of birds getting up at the edge of 12 gauge rang. Sooner or latter your...

    20 gauge ammo for quail

I agree somewhat. But I'll still take quantity over speed. I found a deal a few years ago on Rio 1 oz. Bought 2 cases. Been happy with them. For me an oz. is a must in my 28.

    20 gauge ammo for quail

I hunted with a guy who hunted with a 12 gauge full choke. He hunted with light load 4's. They don't make them anymore. I laughed at him until we cleaned the quail that evening. His weren't shot up as bad as mine.

    Goldador retriever wanted

I'm not a breeder, but I did cross breed some when I was a kid. Shorthair to pointer and Pointer to setter. I seemed to have got most leaning towards one breed or the other and maybe 1 or two with tendencies of both breeds. I think you would have to selectively breed several times to get a true...

    20 gauge ammo for quail

I never shoot any less than 1 oz of 7.5's or 6's. The 6's won't shoot them up as bad. I have patterned many different brands. Winchester seems to pattern the best for me, the AA heavy target being the best. I usually turkey hunt with an o/u double trigger 20 . 2.75'' AA heavy target 7.5 in the...

    Dog soap, shampoo?

Mane and tail is some good stuff. Leaves them silky and shiny. But most of the time I use whatever cheap stuff that smells good.

    Upland Jacket With A Hood

These are decent. do not buy a size larger as mine ran large anyway. Wound up giving mine away as it was pretty warm and only 1/4 zip.

    Family

My brothers were 5 and 9 years older than me. They taught me how to squirrel and groundhog hunt at an early age. Safety was taught by a swift punch in the shoulder or a slap to the back of the head if I did something wrong. I always thought my dad was just too busy on the farm to take me. When I...
