It was another good season for me, no major injuries to my pups or me! Started in Michigan chasing woodcock and grouse and two trips to SD one mid November the other mid December with my son and his buddy. It was his buddies first time pheasant hunting and that trip was a huge success...

I did roughly 8 lbs of breast and thighs for hamburgers and bacon. Yielded about 35 patties tried to keep them around 1/3 lb patties. Sent half back with my son as he headed back to school.

Maybe one is trans-species...I know when I used to hunt them in Nebraska we would commonly flush chickens in the same area as sharpies so they could intermingle and flush together. Could be a simple fact of safety in numbers during this time of year.

My current pup is the most white i have ever had, like it in the grouse wood and prairies until snow. I do prefer orange and white, yet to own a roan but like them.

We put up a group of 10 sharpies I believe during our Dec trip. I usually bump a great each year in different areas. First thought is always hen....lol. I have yet to put up any huns in SD would love to.

I've been looking at the final rise myself. Just have a hard time justifying the cost. My cabelas strap vest 20 plus years is still in good shape and can handle 4 roosters, but doesn't have much for storage. Glad to hear your review.
