Today was crazy, but a blast! Saw TONS of hens, one guy got the only 2 roosters and they were really tough shots. I'm not sure when I'll get a chance to get out again, but with not seeing many roosters either, it may be best to wait it out until next year. I'll let you know if we plan another day. The property is really tough without a dog, (which I don't have) because they are tough birds and will run a long way after being shot.

My name's Tim, I'm close to ya, in Plainfield. I couldn't believe it today, i saw 15 turkeys on the way out to the spot, and on the way home saw a hen pheasant on the side of the road at Silver Springs State Park!

Anyways, good talking to you, I'll be in touch about getting out again. With the holidays coming, might actually be looking at the last weekend of the season.

Sounds like a plan! I just happend to log on and see your reply. My name is Eli and im in Shorewood. Tomorrow does look like its going to be quite a day to be out hunting! Our goose spot was recently tilled under and its not drawing as many geese or ducks at the moment. Its in the northen zone though so its still open. Do you have a dog that you hunt with? I have a 2yr old lab that is really comming into his own this year! Good luck!
