Hi Steve, I brought home a male pup a week ago. I still had not picked a name but had it narrowed down to three. The breeder has to give them a registration name early on and this pup was named Parker vom Herbstwind. The Herbstwind is the kennel and the pup is from the breeders "P" litter. We decided we liked the Parker name so kept it. Having fun with the guy, seems to be doing well with crate training and pointing the cats in the yard

Yeah, I'm excited. One litter was born last Saturday, and another the Saturday before. I did get to stop in and visit the first litter. Just a few weeks to go !!

Sorry, Just noticed this PM. Not used to this forum stuff. I did get to Lion Country. The store looked smaller than I imagined after seeing their web site. Did talk to a guy that has two Deutsch Drahthaars. Thats the breed I'm getting. I'm pretty excited, they will be born in a week or so. Sunday I went with the breeder to a natural ability test and got to see what I will be doing next spring. I probably shouldn't have gone, now all that I can think about is the pup, training the pup, playing with the pup, walking in the woods with the pup.... I wonder if my wife will think I forgot about her?
