I agree with Gimruis. It's a respectful thing. You probably just ruined their hunt for that day. How would you feel if that was you? They were there first.....go find a different place to walk.

We have hunted these private farms for the past 30 years around Mott. The past couple years have had extremely poor bird numbers.

Hunted within 6 miles of Mott on opening weekend. Three of us only shot 8 birds in two days after walking approximately 12 miles of private land. Very few birds seen.

Are landowners required to list phone numbers?

Hey Wiley, Thanks for the report. Sounds like a great winter, but as you said, we will need rain this Spring or else it will be extremely dry and then there is the possibility of the CRP being cut by the farmers. By the way, I have no problem letting the farmers cut the CRP in emergency...

Any reports out there about how the pheasants are doing at mid-winter? Thanks!
