    Chief upland vest

They have an olive/brown option with no orange. I love it, but still need orange in my state.

    Keys

The actual key stays in the center console. The key fob goes with me clipped the key hook in my vest. I also have the GMC app to unlock if needed.

    Upland brush pants

I just got my Sawbucks yesterday and wore them out for one of the last hunts of the season today. I don't think I'm ever going to want to wear another brush pant.

    Late Season Gloves

I was speaking to my sister today about this subject and in all of her brilliance (it runs in the family, you see) she suggested looking into gloves for Cross Country Skiing. We grew up XC Skiing and I think this makes sense. When you consider the physicality of both activities...pheasant...

    Late Season Gloves

Thanks! Yes, full-on waterPROOF is unnecessary, I just don't want a material that soaks up and holds water.

    Late Season Gloves

Looking for feedback and recommendations on late-season gloves. Something warm, but not so insulated that its bulk inhibits gun handling or is too warm on an active hunt. Also waterproof/resistant to prevent saturation from dealing with wet/snowy dogs and obstacles. Also should have good...

    Chief upland vest

I am impatiently waiting on mine. I ordered it on pre-order and was sure it would be here before Thanksgiving, but I still don't have it. I have heard that it is awesome and worth the wait. Jake, the owner of the company appears to be a great guy and is working his tail off.

Dog Hair! I've got it everywhere! - What brush/comb to use

First, we use a defurminator on our golden. It helps a lot. Second, and probably more effective is to feed a high quality Salmon based treat a couple times a day. Not a food, a treat. We use PlanoPaws Salmon Chews...for a golden, Penny's shedding is suprisingly minimal and she has an...

    Moscow Idaho ?

I realize I am responding to an old post, but to answer your question (and revive the Idaho sub-forum) there are TONS of public opportunities in both states...you just need to know how to find them using both Washington's and Idaho's state land databases. OnX helps as well, but the info there...

20-Yard Box Training for Flushers (Golden Retriever)

Very helpful explanation! Thank you. I have good mental picture of what you are describing. I also have a couple friends who would be perfect for this endeavor.

    Beretta A400 20ga Upland

I brought one home in 12 Ga YESTERDAY! So far all I've been able to do is look at it and rack the bolt a few times. It's so light and balanced!!! Tomorrow I have a date with the Champion Clay Thrower (already loaded in the truck) to learn how it shoots before I test it on birds this weekend...

WA & ID Palouse Chapter - Pheasants Forever (Gauging Interest)

I would like to gauge the interest in a PALOUSE CHAPTER of Pheasants Forever. Currently, there are chapters in Walla Walla, Spokane and Lewiston. With as much prime pheasant habitat and hunting on the Palouse it seems as though there should be a chapter centered on Pullman and/or Moscow. The...

20-Yard Box Training for Flushers (Golden Retriever)

We had our golden trained by professionals, and they did a fantastic job. It's been a few seasons since, and I'd like to work on reinforcing the 20-yard box the dog is supposed to work in front of me. In other words, I'd like to reinforce the need for the dog to hunt closer. She doesn't get...
