    Corner crossings

As much as you may not like it, the law says otherwise. Crossing someone’s land without permission is illegal and you know it. Yet you’re advocating to do just that.

    Corner crossings

I remain perplexed as to why he's still allowed to post on here. I would have banned him for good long ago, and advocating for trespassing would have made the decision even easier. A person could draw up a long list of illegal and unethical things he does or recommends. He takes care of...

There's a classifieds section that you can find by just scrolling down on the main page. Probably a better place to post this.

    Retirement hunt

Right there with you. I have the ashes of all my dogs. I told my wife that when I die, I'd like to have my ashes mixed with theirs, and then scattered in a few of our favorite haunts.

    Retirement hunt

Congrats on a what sounds and looks like a fine hunt! Days afield with an older dog are bittersweet; you see the future, but you have a book of memories in your mind. To me, a dog's only fault is that they leave us too soon.

    Let's talk cattail strategies

It is hard to pass up, especially when you haven’t seen many birds. However, I’m guessing that you exercise judgment on when not to shoot (e.g., pointed at buildings, other nearby hunters, etc.), so birds on the margins can fit within your go/no-go strategy as well. It’s just mental discipline.

    Old school

I have no doubt that some of his posts are made purely for reaction. I also think a lot of what he posts are indeed his actions in the field. The former is entertaining; the latter stuff is unethical. Since I can't know which he has chosen, I'll assume he's telling the truth all the time...

    Old school

I'll just assume you're referring to me. I'm far from a tough guy here, but I happen to find him unethical, and I think it should be called out. All of us lose birds, or have other things go south on a hunt. I'd like to think that most of us reflect on what just happened and try to improve...

Maybe pheasant hunting isn't for you. Mighty big of you to keep dropping birds deep in the cover knowing full well that you won't find them.

    Old school

You must be a near invalid. I hunt MT all the time (as well as SD and ND), and there are few pieces of habitat that I can't enter. You seem to have little regard for the bird you're pursuing, given your say la vie attitude about losing them. I kick myself up one side and down the other if I...

I fixed it for you. Like I've said numerous times, he's got to be the least self-aware person I've come across.

    Today's report

Nice pic, and good story. For years I've always picked up empty hulls and whatever packable trash I happen to find while hunting. I throw the hulls in a bag throughout the year and see what the count is at the end of the season. Last year I collected 103 hulls, and four wads. I have no idea...

    These video guys

If only he was a bot, as that would explain his moronic posts where he punches down if he disagrees with another person's way of hunting. He evidently feels compelled to weigh in if someone pays to hunt (some don't have any other option), hunts big game, pays for their dogs in a hotel room, the...

I couldn’t agree more. I’d add amazingly uninformed, with a complete lack of self awareness that shows up every time he denigrates others (which is often). If I had the keys to this place I’d ban him for good.

Can't you see that you're making his point? He mentions not having any problem with people giving a general area, or a state, and you come back with a very specific location. It's called hotspotting, and you were called out for doing exactly that. Some hunting web sites have rules...
